It was the holiday season, and of course a festive time for this socialite couple.Just as they were leaving for one of many parties, the phone rang … Hello, mom, the caller said.Im back in the states in an early release from my army duties in vietnam .
That’s wonderful my son,his mother replied .. when will you be home? The young man said that all depends.I will like to bring my buddy home with me.
Sure bring him home with you for a few days”, the mother replied.Mother,there is something to know about my buddy.Both legs are amputated,one arm is gone, his face quite disfigured,and one ear and eye are missing.His not much to look at,but he needs a home real bad.” Mother stammered,a home?
Why don’t u bring him along for a few days?
You don’t understand,the young man pleaded..I wan’t to bring him home to live.
I think that is asking a lot,son,but u get home soon so we can spend the holidays together. As for your friend,im sory about his condition,but what would are friends think? How would explain this to the people at the club? And the phone went dead.
Later that night,the couple returned from their party with a message to call the police department in a small california town.
The mother placed the call and asked for the chief of police the man at the other end said”,we have just found one young month with both legs and one arm missing,his face is badly mangled,and one eye and ear are missing,he shot himself in the head.His identification indicates he is your son”.
